About Me
Finding the right mental health professional can be challenging and time-consuming. I've created this website to hopefully give you a sense of who I am and what you can expect from working with me. It's important that we be the right fit for each other; the quality of the therapeutic relationship itself is key to the success a client experiences.

I try to be the kind of therapist I would want to see. I ask questions when I have them and acknowledge patterns when I observe them. I listen actively. I will treat you with warmth and compassion and challenge you gently when needed. I care deeply about the people who come to see me in therapy.

My clients and I typically work together to create clear goals, but I am also flexible in providing space for more open exploration. I offer tools you can utilize now. I hope that you leave our sessions feeling that we've made headway, that you're struggling less, accepting and embodying emotions, and moving through them with more ease.

The clients who typically benefit most from therapy with me are sensitive, empathic, and feel deeply. They are having difficulty coping with the very real suffering and pain of living life, and want increased joy, purpose, and self-acceptance. I also work well with people interested in the intersection between spirituality and mental health.

I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2013 and my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2007.

I have trained and worked at several local agencies and companies in the Santa Barbara area including the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA), Domestic Violence Solutions (DVS), Child Abuse, Listening, & Mediation (CALM), STAR of CA, Rader Treatment Programs, County of Santa Barbara Alcohol, Drug, & Mental Health Services (ADMHS) and Juvenile Justice Mental Health (JJMHS), and Acacia Counseling & Wellness.

I am an adjunct faculty member at Fielding Graduate University teaching critical thinking in clinical psychology and research methods. Additionally, I am honored to currently serve on the board of the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association (SBCPA).
